Ah, the sweet sound of pirate tears
What, people actually have to think about whether a suicide gank is worth the risk? You have to *gasp* actually scout and get intel? The horror! Flee too Delve/other games! Rabble rabble rabble!
In short: excellent changes. Suicide ganks are still possible, but are no longer automatically profitable. As should be.

Really?

Yeah, the amount of Pandemic Whineage in the devblog thread is quite awesome. Sweet music to my ears.
So highsec ganking will actually need some brains and planning now? The horror.

Maybe you should try fighting back instead of whining for protection from CCP.
If you want to blame someone, blame the Goons. I doubt this would be happening without their "kill everyone we can just for shits and giggles" campaigns.
Me, I'm actually thanking the Goons (hey, there's a first time for everything ). Forcing highsec ganking to actually carry an itty bitty element of risk and careful target selection is all good.
The fact that lowsec sucks in general is another separate matter that I hope CCP does something about in the future.

meanwhile, the majority edge ever closer to increased protection from suicide ganking.
So you're saying that the majority is in NPC corps? Do you have any numbers to back this up?
The vast majority of EVE players are in highsec. This is direct from CCP. Make of that what you will.

Interestingly enough, this announcement and the implementation of proposed changes won't change that one bit. You can still keep a-gankin'.
Now it will actually have a cost associated to it.
But, hey, that'll make it more hardcore for those hardcore enough to keep doing it.
Hey, self-styled suicide-ganking "hardcore pvpers" don't want this "risk" and "cost" thing. It messes up their hairstyle.
Meanwhile, most people who do real pvp (against targets that actually shoot back) find this wailing and gnashing of teeth to be quite amusing. Bring more popcorn! Cry more!
It's funny how few whiners have noted on the fact that sec status hits in 0.3 and below are actually getting reduced. You'd think they would be happily going on about more pvp in lowsec... but no, apparently "pvp" for these people means something else entirely. Not sure what it is, but it probably involves a dead horse and a big stick.
